About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Natsumi, and I am from Japan. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and I moved to Japan when I was 18 years old. I created this website because I wanted to share my deep passion for self-care with others.

When I was a teenager going through puberty, I experienced a dramatic change in my skin. I developed acne that became so bad it made me embarrassed to even leave the house. When I moved to Japan, I started learning more about skincare, and that’s when my self-care journey truly began.

I fell in love with skincare and started trying different products to help heal my skin. There were many hits and misses, but over time I found what worked for me and stayed consistent. I’ve also used many Japanese skincare brands throughout the years. Some worked, and a few became staples for me, but overall I noticed that Korean skincare gave me the best long-term results. Living in Japan, K-beauty was everywhere, and I naturally found myself drawn to it because it simply worked better for my skin.

My acne slowly improved, and I also began eating healthier, which helped even more. Within two years, my skin completely cleared.

K-beauty has truly transformed my skin over the past 15 years. At first, it was overwhelming because there were so many products and brands to choose from. But over time, I learned what really works and what doesn’t.

Visiting South Korea was a turning point for me. Experiencing the skincare culture in person made me even more passionate about K-beauty and confirmed that this was something I truly wanted to share with others.

I started Kara Glow Shop because I often get asked questions like, “What is the secret to good skin?” or “What brands are you using?” I’ve tried so many products over the years, so I decided to create a space where I can share the brands I genuinely trust and personally use.

Every product in this shop is something I have used myself, repurchased multiple times, and still use in my daily skincare routine. My goal is to make skincare feel less confusing and more approachable.
